Quick answer: AI website builders are fast and cheap, and for some people they're the right choice. But they build the website and leave the rest to you: the writing, the setup, getting found on Google, and keeping it all working. What AI website builders do well
To be fair, tools like Lovable, Wix's AI builder and Framer are impressive. You type what you want, and a few minutes later you have a decent-looking website. They're cheap, quick, and great if you enjoy tinkering.
If you have the time, a small budget and only need a simple one-page site, an AI builder might be all you need. I'd rather tell you that than sell you something you don't need.
What they leave to you
An AI builder gives you a website. Here's what it usually doesn't do for you:

- Checking it actually works. Testing forms, speed and how it looks on every phone.
- Someone to call. When something breaks or you need a change, it's back to you and the prompt box.

The real cost of doing it yourself
An AI builder looks cheaper, but count your time.
